Vintage Tractors & Machinery

In conjunction with Clitheroe Auction Mart, Silverwoods runs two specialist Vintage Tractor and Machinery sales every year. As well as mint condition vintage and classic tractors and tractors for restoration, the auctions also feature related machinery, parts, spares and manuals – a must for the enthusiast. Silverwoods also undertakes auctions of specialist tractor collections on behalf of third parties.

Auction Facilities

We have a secure compound for storage in advance of the sale & ramp unloading facilities for wheeled equipment plus a loadall available on Fri before sale 10am - 3pm and day of sale from 9.00am.

General Auction Information

All vintage entries are delivered on the Friday prior to the sale.

Viewing times is on the Friday prior to the sale 12 noon to 5pm and morning of the sale from 8am.

All Vintage catalogues can be downloaded from www.silverwoods.co.uk where you will find more information on buying with Silverwoods.

Due to the fact delivery of items to be sold is very close to the sale, for purchasers unable to attend viewing we are unable to provide additional images or condition reports until the afternoon prior to the sale. 

For purchasers unable to attend we are able to offer a commission bid service (telephone and online bidding unavailable at this sale)

No Buyers Premium is payable at this sale although some items may be subject to Sales VAT as catalogued or announced by the Auctioneer at the time of the sale.

We accept cash, credit cards (subject to 2% handling fee), debit cards and bank transfers.

Vendor Information

All customers wishing to sell at the Vintage sale should fill in the entry form and return to Silverwoods in advance of the sale (closing date on form) to be included in the catalogue.

All Vintage entries are delivered to Silverwoods on the Friday prior to the sale 9.00am to 4.00pm or by agreed appointment.

Silverwoods deducts commission as follows: Vintage Parts & Accessories are charged at 10% with a minimum of £1 per lot; Tractors & Machinery is charged at 5% up to £2000, 4% £2001-5000 & 3% over £5001.

The costs are subject to VAT at the current rate.

Payment to vendors will be made 5 days after the sale subject to cleared funds by cheque or bank transfer if relevant details have been provided.
