DRESSING TABLE CRUISES IN FOR STUNNING RESULT

Alerted to the presence of a mahogany dressing table which once graced White Star Line’s RMS Olympic vessel, the owners of International Titanic exhibition specialists ‘White Star Memories’ travelled up from the south of England with a van, determined to secure the piece to add to their massive collection.

CLOCK TICKS OVER TIDY PROFIT AT SILVERWOODS’ OCTOBER SALE

A 17th century English mantel clock stole the show at Silverwoods’ Special bimonthly Sale on 25th October, eventually selling for £6,000 to an internet bidder who spotted the early ‘verge’ escapement origins of the piece.

A large and unusual Chinese carved cherry amber sculpture of a recumbent lion sold for an astonishing £4,000 at Silverwoods bimonthly Special Sale on 30th August.  A purchaser from London travelled up to the saleroom just to secure the rare piece.  Read more .......
